Imprint & Privacy Policy

This page is an example for the legal pages most sites need. Two frontmatter options shape how it is presented:

  • rank: 101 — pages with a rank above 100 are linked in the footer, the customary place for an imprint and a privacy policy. In the minimal layout they leave the top bar for the footer; the sidebar layout still lists them with the other pages.
  • nobot: true — the page is left out of the menu in the initial server-rendered HTML, so only browsers that open the websocket see the link. Browser users see the link as soon as the LiveView connects, and the page can always be reached directly. Be aware that linking the page from elsewhere makes it visible to bots again.

Hosting

This website is hosted by an external provider. Personal data collected on this website, such as IP addresses and request metadata, is processed on the provider's servers to deliver the site reliably and securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.

Data collected by this website

  • Server logs. The web server may record the requested page, time, browser and IP address of each request to operate the site and to investigate abuse.
  • Visitor statistics. AlchemyPub counts page visits anonymously. It records the page, the visit duration, the referrer, the browser and the country of the visitor, but no IP address and no identifier that would allow recognising a returning visitor. The data is stored in a local database on the server and is not shared with third parties.
  • Cookies. This site sets a session cookie that is needed for the live connection to work. It does not contain personal data and is deleted when the browser is closed. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
  • Contact. If you contact us by e-mail or phone, your request including the personal data it contains is stored to handle your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and deleted once it is resolved and no legal retention period applies.

Embedded content

Pages may embed content from other providers, for example a shop or a photo gallery in an iframe, or a discussion from the Bluesky network. When such a page is opened, your browser connects to that provider, which may process your IP address under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about your stored personal data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing, and to request its rectification or erasure. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, request the restriction of processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us using the details in the imprint for any of these requests.
